Working with Apex-Meta
What does Apex-Meta actually do?
We help businesses spend wisely on technology. That covers IT hardware procurement, infrastructure support and maintenance, Microsoft 365 adoption and license management, website design and SEO, and custom software development. We also build and sell our own point of sale product, Obali, for shops and restaurants in Ghana.
What size of business do you work with?
Everything from a single-counter shop to a multi-branch enterprise. A small team might come to us for affordable laptops, a growing company for Microsoft 365 support, and a larger organisation to digitise its operations. We scope every engagement to the operational goal and the budget behind it.
Do you work outside Accra?
Yes. On-site work is straightforward across Greater Accra, and we travel elsewhere in Ghana by arrangement. Remote support, Microsoft 365 administration, website work and software development are delivered wherever you are.
How does an engagement start?
You get in touch, we run a short discovery conversation to understand what you are trying to achieve, and we send a written quotation setting out the scope, the cost and the timeline. Nothing is billed until you accept it in writing.
02
Pricing and payment
How do you price your work?
Hardware is quoted per order at the cost of the equipment plus a stated supply and configuration fee. Projects such as websites and custom software are quoted as a fixed price against an agreed scope. Ongoing support and Microsoft 365 management are billed as a monthly or annual retainer. Every price is confirmed in writing before work begins.
Why is there no price list on the site?
Because the honest answer depends on your setup. A ten-person office and a fifty-person office need different things, and publishing a single number would mean quoting you for work you do not need. Tell us what you are trying to solve and you will have a written quotation, with the line items visible, within two business days.
What payment methods do you accept?
Bank transfer, mobile money and card. Card and mobile money payments are processed by Paystack, a licensed payment service provider. We never see or store your full card details.
What currency do you bill in?
Ghana cedis (GHS) by default. Where a supplier prices in another currency we say so on the quotation and state the rate applied.
What are your payment terms?
For hardware and project work we ask for a 50 percent deposit to begin, with the balance due on delivery or handover. Retainers and subscriptions are billed in advance for each period. Invoices are due within 14 days of issue unless your contract says otherwise.
03
Delivery and support
How long does delivery take?
Hardware in stock locally is usually delivered within 3 to 5 business days of cleared payment. Imported equipment takes longer and we give you a dated estimate on the quotation. Microsoft 365 licences and other cloud subscriptions are provisioned within one business day. Project timelines are set out in the quotation.
Is hardware covered by a warranty?
Yes. All equipment we supply carries the manufacturer warranty for its stated period, and we handle the claim with the manufacturer or distributor on your behalf.
What are your support hours?
Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm GMT. Clients on a support retainer can arrange extended or emergency cover as part of their agreement.
Can I cancel a subscription or retainer?
Yes. Give us 30 days notice before your next renewal date and the service ends at the close of the current billing period. We do not lock anyone into a contract they have stopped getting value from.
Can I get a refund?
In the circumstances set out in our refund policy, yes. In short: faulty hardware and undelivered work are refunded, and unused subscription periods are refunded pro rata where the fault is ours.

Obali, our point of sale product
What is Obali?
Obali is our own point of sale platform, built for shops and restaurants in Ghana. Obali POS runs offline-first checkout, inventory and mobile money for retail. Obali TableKare adds a kitchen display, QR table ordering and GRA E-VAT compliant receipts for restaurants and bars.
Does Obali work when the internet drops?
Yes, and that is the point. Sales queue on the device and sync when the connection returns. Send the same sale twice and it still counts once, so there is never a double charge.
Is Obali certified by the Ghana Revenue Authority?
No. Obali is built to meet GRA E-VAT requirements and issues VAT, NHIL and GETFund compliant receipts, but it is not certified or endorsed by the Ghana Revenue Authority.
What does Obali cost?
There are four plans. Free is free forever for a single counter, up to 25 products. Starter is GHS 100 per month for two locations and up to five staff. Growth is GHS 150 per month, currently a founding price against a normal GHS 200, and covers up to five branches uncapped. Enterprise is quoted for chains. Every new shop gets Growth free for the first month. Obali TableKare is in pilot in Accra and priced per restaurant by agreement.

Data and security
What happens to our data?
We handle it under our privacy policy and under the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). We collect only what we need to deliver the service, we do not sell personal data to anyone, and you can ask us to correct or delete your information at any time.
Will you sign a confidentiality agreement?
Yes. Confidentiality obligations are already built into our standard terms, and we are happy to sign your own NDA before discovery begins.
